Description

MHS Series: High-Precision Parallel Air Grippers 2-Finger, 3-Finger, & 4-Finger Wedge Cam Solutions The MHS Series is engineered for high-performance automation, featuring a wedge cam construction that delivers exceptionally high gripping forces within a lightweight, compact footprint . Designed to minimize height and maximize efficiency, this series offers the repeatability and versatility required for modern pick-and-place, assembly, and positioning tasks .

Key Technical Advantages Exceptional Precision: Achieves high repeatability of ±0.01 mm, ensuring consistent performance in high-tolerance applications . Wedge Cam Mechanism: This specialized design allows for a strong, reliable gripping force while maintaining a reduced overall height and weight . Integrated Sensing: The body features side mounting grooves for a wide variety of solid-state auto switches, including 2-color indicators and water-resistant types . Simplified Installation: Two-Direction Mounting: Can be integrated using either tapped holes or through-holes . Precision Alignment: Top-mounted positioning pin holes facilitate easy and accurate alignment during setup .

Versatile Series Variations The MHS series provides specialized solutions for diverse workpiece geometries and environmental conditions: Series Type Primary Benefit MHS2 / 3 / 4 2, 3, or 4 Fingers Options for square, cylindrical, or diverse workpiece shapes . MHSL3 Long Stroke Opening/closing stroke is more than twice the standard MHS3 . MHSJ3 With Dust Cover Ideal for harsh environments; features a modularized dust cover . MHSH3 Through-hole Allows for center pushers or air blowing to facilitate workpiece ejection . MHS3-X84 Single Acting Available as Normally Open or Normally Closed for simplified control .

Selection & Application Guidelines To ensure the safety and longevity of your automation system, please follow these engineering standards: Safety Margin: For standard transfer operations, select a model that provides a gripping force 10 to 20 times the mass of the workpiece . If the system encounters high acceleration or impact forces, an additional safety margin must be considered . Gripping Point Accuracy: The workpiece gripping point must stay within the specified ranges for each pressure level . Operating beyond these ranges can apply excessive offset loads, potentially shortening the product’s service life . Mounting Torque: Use the prescribed maximum tightening torque for mounting bolts to prevent positioning deviation or internal damage (e.g., M3: 0.88 N·m; M5: 4.3 N·m; M10: 36 N·m) . Environmental Protection: In contaminated workspaces, the MHSJ3 series with a dust cover (available in Chloroprene, Fluororubber, or Silicone) is highly recommended to protect internal mechanisms .
