Advanced Features & Integration Integrated Sensing: The MHC2 and MHCA2 models feature built-in mounting grooves for solid-state auto switches (2-wire or 3-wire), allowing for precise position detection of “Open,” “Closed,” or “Workpiece Held” states . Flexible Piping Options: To accommodate tight robotic end-of-arm tooling, the series offers basic, side-ported, or axial-ported configurations (including M3, ø4 hose nipples, or One-touch fittings) . Rugged Construction: Components include high-carbon chromium bearing steel needle rollers and NBR seals for smooth operation and long service life . Mounting Versatility: Supports multiple mounting orientations including axial (body tapped) and lateral (through-hole or tapped) to fit any machine layout .
Professional Selection & Installation Guidelines
- Gripping Force Selection For secure handling and safety, it is recommended to select a model that provides a gripping force 10 to 20 times the weight of the workpiece . This accounts for a safety margin (typically factor 4) to handle impacts during normal transportation .
- Inertial Moment Management When using custom attachments, ensure the total inertial moment remains within the allowable range (e.g., 0.5 x 10⁻⁶ kg·m² for MHC2-6D without a speed controller) . Exceeding these limits requires a meter-in type speed controller to prevent damage from excessive finger speed .
- Precision Mounting To maintain accuracy and prevent malfunction: M2.5 bolts for ø6 models should be tightened to a maximum torque of 0.49 N·m . M2 bolts for ø7 models should be tightened to a maximum torque of 0.15 N·m . Avoid scratching or denting the body during installation, as slight deformations can cause inaccuracy
