Compact Guide Cylinder with Stroke Adjuster MGPM: High-Precision Solutions for Global Industry
Description
MGP Series: Compact Guide Cylinder
High-Rigidity Solution for Pushing, Lifting, and Stopper Applications
The MGP Series is a highly integrated, compact guide cylinder designed to provide superior non-rotating accuracy and resistance to lateral loads. By combining a standard cylinder with two integrated guide rods, this series offers a space-saving alternative to traditional cylinder-plus-external-guide setups, making it ideal for robotic end-effectors and sophisticated automated machinery.

Bearing Selection Guidelines
The series offers two bearing types to suit different mechanical demands:
- Slide Bearing (MGPM): Features high lateral load resistance and is highly effective at withstanding impact when used as a stopper.
- Ball Bushing (MGPL): Designed for smooth, high-precision motion, making it the preferred choice for lifting and pushing applications.
Non-rotating Accuracy of Plate
Values represent the guiding accuracy (θ) without an applied load.
| Bore Size (mm) | MGPM (Slide Bearing) | MGPL (Ball Bushing) |
|---|---|---|
| ø12, ø16 | ±0.08° | ±0.10° |
| ø20, ø25 | ±0.07° | ±0.09° |
| ø32, ø40 | ±0.06° | ±0.08° |
| ø50, ø63 | ±0.05° | ±0.06° |
| ø80, ø100 | ±0.04° | ±0.05° |

Key Features & Versatility
- Four Mounting Styles: Integrated body allows for Top, Side, Bottom, or T-slot side mounting for maximum installation flexibility.
- Dual Direction Piping: Porting is available on both the top and side of the cylinder to accommodate tight space requirements.
- Integrated Position Sensing: Body features built-in slots on two sides for direct mounting of auto switches (Reed or Solid State).
- Specialized Variations:
- Air Cushion: Absorbs nearly three times as much kinetic energy as rubber bumpers.
- End Lock: Maintains the home position even if the air supply is cut off.
- Environmentally Ready: Options available for Clean Rooms, water-resistant applications, and Copper-free manufacturing.

Application and Maintenance Precautions
- Filtration: Use clean air filtered by a 40μm filter element to ensure seal longevity.
- Stopper Use: When utilizing the cylinder as a stopper, select the slide bearing type (MGPM) and ensure the stroke is 30mm or less (ø12-25) or 50mm or less (ø32-100).
- Mechanical Clearance: Do not place hands or fingers between the plate and the cylinder body, as the integrated design creates a potential pinch point during operation.
- Mounting Accuracy: Knock pin holes are provided on each mounting surface to facilitate easy and repeatable positioning during setup
